La Barbote : outdoor adventure activities in the Gorges du Tarn

Discover the Gorges du Tarn in a kayak

The geographical location of La Barbote (Le Rozier / Mostuéjouls) is ideal for getting to grips with canoeing and kayaking. An 800-metre stretch of water offers the chance to get to grips with and learn about water sports in the Tarn. The proximity of the beach and the shaded picnic area mean that families of all ages can enjoy the area in peace and quiet.

In high season (June – July – August), the Aveyron leisure centre is open every day from 9am to 6.30pm. During this season, our team will be able to provide you with information and guidance in several languages, including French, English and Spanish.

In low season (April – May – September), please contact us to book.

Whatever the season, you’ll always receive a warm welcome in breathtaking natural surroundings! (The Gorges du Tarn major listed site, Grands Causses Regional Nature Park, Cévennes National Park, UNESCO World Heritage Site).

La Barbote offers a variety of water courses

From an introductory course to a challenging 2 or 3-day tour, our services are suitable for everyone.

Canoeing and kayaking are popular activities in the Gorges du Tarn. The scenery is magnificent, and canoeing down the Gorges is a real pleasure.
